We formed the Iguana Hash in Arizona in 1991 because the Phoenix Hash had become restrictive to "our" type of hashing. It seems that the GM, RA, etc. were becoming a bit offended by the number of hashers we were "shortsing" and the rowdy behavior that ensued.

SOOOO, we said, "Damn It, we're going to start our own hash, and its never going to hash in Phoenix. In fact, we're going to take our lewd, incestuous, behavior on the road, and, and, and... whatever!"

The first Iguana hash was held in November 1991 in Tucson, Arizona. Since that time we have had runs all over the Southwest USA, Northwest Mexico and Hawaii. We only hash 2 or 3 times each year like this, because we all have our own hashes at home. But it is a bit enlightening to experience the Iguana...

Now, don't expect a lot of organization! This is not a hash that buys your food and arranges for bus transportation and shit like that. In fact, we rarely know where the next hash is going to be until about 30 days out. Sooo, our prices are low. We do try to throw together a T-shirt and get a registration form together and maybe something else that is fun and we find some local folks to lay trail, and sometimes one of our hashes might go through a Titty Bar on the last day, so don't leave early on Sunday (or Monday)... its a BIG day!
